1979 | Delzer-Crary Company

In 1979, Chuck and Joe Crary purchased the Delzer Machine Shop and continued to expand on the shop’s existing harvesting attachment product lineup.

1991 | Crary® Company

Around 1981 the company shortened the name to Crary Company and added to the existing sunflower and bean harvesting equipment with cutting attachments and high-pressure fans. Soon after, the Bear Cat® line of outdoor power equipment was developed and included snowblowers, chippers, and composters.

1995 | WeedRoller®

The Crary WeedRoller was developed out of the need to control aquatic nuisance weeds by improving and beautifying lake swimming and recreation areas.

1999 | TerraMarc Industries

In 1999, Crary Company was purchased by TerraMarc Industries, an investment firm that strategized to facilitate growth through acquisitions. Around this time, LOCKWOOD® Manufacturing, a potato equipment company with roots dating back to 1935 was acquired. In 2001, LOCKWOOD moved from its Nebraska location to Crary Company’s  West Fargo, ND facilities, nearly doubling the size of the shop to 200,000 square feet.

2005 | ECHO Incorporated

Around 2005, Crary Company became a wholly owned subsidiary of ECHO Incorporated of Lake Zurich, IL and adopted the new name of Crary Industries, Inc. Since the acquisition, ECHO has partnered with Crary Industries management to invest in growth for all the product lines and its employees.

With the strategic support of ECHO Incorporated, Crary Industries continues to design and manufacture high-quality agricultural and outdoor power equipment with a focus on customers and service. Both companies share a goal for putting customers and employees first, while growing product offerings to better serve each market.
